From building façades and pit garages to trackside lighting and public spaces, JUNO paints and coatings have helped bring one of Spain's most exciting sporting developments to life.
A project on the scale of F1 Madrid brings together a wide variety of surfaces, structures and environments, each with its own technical requirements and design considerations. Achieving the right result means selecting coatings that are suited to each application while delivering the colours and finishes specified by the project designers.
This is where the versatility of the JUNO product range comes into its own.
Four products — Junoretano 2C, Oxiforja, Waterprim and J-25 — were selected for different areas of the circuit, contributing to the distinctive appearance of the buildings, lighting installations, communal spaces and pit facilities.
Junoretano 2C: One Coating, Multiple Applications
Among the products used throughout the project, Junoretano 2C, JUNO's two-component polyurethane coating, stands out for its range of applications.
From the main buildings to lighting columns and pit garage areas, Junoretano was specified in a variety of colours to achieve the required finishes across different parts of the development.
On the building façades, RAL 7012 (Basalt Grey) was selected, with RAL 7015 (Slate Grey) used on other architectural elements. Together, these complementary shades create a clean, contemporary appearance that ties the different structures together.
Elsewhere, Junoretano brings a welcome splash of colour to the circuit.
Lighting columns in the communal areas were finished in RAL 9006 (White Aluminium), while the trackside lighting features the more striking RAL 1018 (Zinc Yellow) and RAL 3020 (Traffic Red).

The product was also used within the pit garage areas, where two colours from the RAL Design collection — 290.20.20 and 290.30.35 — were specified.
The result is a varied yet coordinated colour scheme, with Junoretano providing a common coating solution across several areas, each with its own visual identity.
Oxiforja: Finishing Touches for Outdoor Spaces
Beyond the buildings and trackside installations, Oxiforja was selected for metal elements in the outdoor communal areas.
Applied in black and green, this protective decorative coating adds further variety to the finishes used throughout the site.
These applications complement the colours achieved with Junoretano, helping to create outdoor spaces that feel part of the same development while retaining their own distinctive character.
The combination of different JUNO products also highlights the flexibility available when choosing finishes for a project with such a diverse range of architectural features.

Pit Garages: Coating Solutions Beyond the Walls
JUNO's involvement in the pit garage areas was not limited to the elements finished with Junoretano.
The ceilings also received JUNO coatings, with Waterprim Black and J-25 Black used to achieve the specified dark finish.
Although these areas may be less visible than the circuit's colourful exterior features, they are an equally important part of the overall project.
Their inclusion demonstrates how different coatings can be selected to suit the surfaces and finishing requirements within the same working environment.
One Project, Many Solutions
What makes F1 Madrid particularly interesting from a coatings perspective is the sheer variety of applications involved.
Rather than supplying a solution for just one type of surface, JUNO products have been used throughout the development — from building façades and architectural features to lighting columns, public spaces and pit garages.
Each area presented its own requirements, calling for different products, colours and finishes. Together, these applications show how JUNO's decorative and protective coatings can support projects that demand both technical versatility and design flexibility.
For JUNO, a Spanish coatings manufacturer founded in Bilbao in 1927, being part of such a high-profile international project is especially meaningful as the company approaches its centenary in 2027.
Nearly a century of coatings expertise, continuing to find its place in some of today's most distinctive projects.
