Ziamar ET 2/C Primer

2-Pack Inorganic zinc coating based on ethyl silicate. Very resistant to corrosion, alcohols, temperatures and abrasion.

Recommended as an anticorrosive primer for painting metal structures, bridges, tanks, silos, "off shore" platforms, ship hulls, etc.

Colours
  • Corrosion resistance: provides effective cathodic protection to steel surfaces due to high zinc content
  • Resistance to alcohols: methyl, ethyl, butyl, amyl, glycerin; petroleum derivatives: fuel oil, gasoline, kerosene, white spirit, aromatic hydrocarbons; ketones; methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl amyl ketone; mineral oils
  • Resistance to continous temperatures of 400ºC
  • Abrasion resistant 2 hours after application.

Application with conventional or airless sprayer.
Abrasive blasting up to Sa 2 ½ grade according to ISO 8501-1.
Apply to clean surfaces, completely dry, free from efflorescence (saltpetre) and mould.
Component B (powder) is added little by little during mechanical stirring into Component A (liquid). DO NOT REVERSE THE ORDER OF THE MIX. Once the powder is conveniently dispersed, dilute with 0 - 10% E.T. thinner. Shake for 5 minutes until perfectly homogenized. Do not use the primer passed its potlife ( after 8 hours of mixing components).
